Going Green: The Relevance of Corporate Stewardship

The business research team at Dewar Sloan has studied important trends and issues in corporate stewardship as part of its work on business strategy patterns.

In his [2007] book, Prepared and Resolved, Daniel Wolf frames corporate stewardship as one of the four natural goals of business, and a significant aspect of value creation and capture.  The emerging roles and relevance of corporate stewardship will be part of a Green Strategy Research Paper that will be released in Fall of 2007.

Collaboration and Strategic Leadership

The evolution of business systems and structures continues to find new organization ideas and challenges.  In a recent AMA panel discussion on talent and organization development, Daniel Wolf of Dewar Sloan, Claudia Zayec of Aquent and John Sullivan of Dunlap and Sullivan discussed the emerging issues in collaboration that shape corporate talent and capability.

Part of Wolf’s comments relate to his work with Evan Rosen on the Strategic Agenda and the Culture of Collaboration.  These ideas also relate to Extended Enterprise [Hackel] Open Business Models [Chesbrough] and Organic Development [Hess] as part of the framework for sustainable business development.

Wolf and Rosen expect to release their work on Strategy and Collaboration in late 2007.

Daniel Wolf Publishes First Work

Based on three decades of experience with business challenges, Dewar Sloan's managing director Daniel Wolf has explored a set of themes for business growth, performance and change in his new book, Prepared & Resolved: The Strategic Agenda for Growth, Performance and Change

This book resets the management and leadership of companies in the context of the Strategic Agenda, a framework for strategy direction, integration and execution.  It serves more people charged with getting their companies focused on results, at every level of their enterprise.

"This book presents a common sense track for business development, and it takes a  long needed new approach to leading organizations through the most common business challenges. An excellent book for engaging employees and executives in smart focused pathways for growth, performance and change..."                                                                                                              -Steven Krakoff
